The amazing thing is that our mindset changes so quickly that we cannot really understand (foolish) things we did and what caused these notions. I suppose in the course of all that day to day life, we lose a certain part of us that is always there, but just not activated yet. This mindset that I am talking about is usually the period where we have time to just sit down and relax, pondering and further unlocking our minds. One good example would be when girls and boys my age or younger would have time during camps, writing their reflections on life. Okay I think im officially rambling on but I shall still continue. So coming back, after I thought about what happened in 2009 and all my mental reflections, I made a list of goals for 2010 and my infamous new year resolutions (that usually don’t work) and just got ready for the new year and my SATs and A Levels. *shudder* And placed it up in my wall as a constant reminder.
Oh yes I do also have to tell you about my dearest new obsession! Its David Tennant! Cheery, charming, charismatic Scottish guy that is totally my type of guy I would do anything to date. Although I haven’t really defined what my ‘type’ really is. Anyways he is best known for playing ‘Doctor Who’, the longest British TV show apparently. The best thing about it is that it is in my geeky genre that I like: Sci-fi. I hope I can get my hands on it and watch some of the episodes. Oh and I heard on BBC radio 4 about his interview of the songs that he would listen to if he was stuck on a deserted island. Very interesting I would say. The Singapore media should churn out more interesting programmes on radio…I might just listen to it if it changed its boring concept of what they perceive as ‘radio programmes’. Bleh. Speaking of media, I have also grown to like TV shows such as ‘Bones’, ‘House’ and interestingly ‘One Tree Hill’. I never would have thought I was into that drama genre but I guess it somehow appealed to me (other than the groovy bassline of the theme song), maybe to satisfy my inability to have such drama in my own life. Yes, sad isn’t it? Well escapism is practiced by everybody regardless of your social status because the desire of having a utopian world is better than life itself.
AGAIN, I am going off topic…wait, what is the topic actually? Well, I think its just my tired brain wanting to get some of the words out of my head to clear my thoughts I guess. Well I have plenty more to say about my day itself which I was supposed to be blogging about but I think it’s sufficient enough to make your eyes a little sore out of reading small fonts. I should have made a medal to give out to the person who has diligently read this post all the way through. Oh and I have a tumblr too! You can check it out, if you can find it. Well my eyes are kind of glazing a bit so I think I should really stop writing…have a great 2010. =D

just a note

Hey you,
Its been a long time since I’ve written anything. I suppose we all get caught up in life and the busy nature of it we forget times like these of reflection and quiet times. Well anyways, yeah I finished my promos and am waiting for my results. I guess I wanted to write here again because of the solidarity that I have here I suppose compared to facebook and twitter, since my parents and my whole church members are connected and everything that I say or do will fall under scrutiny. I suppose writing in a blog is no better but at least it’s private enough.
Anyways, today Zhi Ying and Andy came over to my house to do PW and yeah it was fun having them around, as always. After that I watched like a lot of episodes of TV shows and spoilt myself with all the latest info about the other episodes so I wouldn’t have to waste time watching all of their episodes.
Well I wasn’t planning on writing a long post, and I don’t think I will try to keep up with the updates on this blog. Maybe I just wanted to say two cents worth of my thoughts for today I suppose. Yeah and I don’t really know but I just might start to have feelings for this guy I know. Maybe I was harbouring it at the back of my mind somewhere, but I suppose I can’t keep that in hiding for too long. I haven’t exactly told anyone because I wasn’t sure if I was ready to face another unreciprocated relationship that could potentially destroy my current relationship with him. Oh gosh, love really is complicated when it isn’t sorted out. I suppose it might fade away sooner or later so yeah, why bother at all. Don’t you just love pessimism?
Alright then I think I’ve spilled too much beans from my jelly bean jar. Wish me all the best for my results. Until then.

update

Hey all,
It has been a long time since I have written and so many things happened along the way. Hmm where shall I start...?
Orientation week only lasted about two days. Unlike VJC and SRJC. Ugh, but it’s alright because next week will be my orientation camp. I am so excited about it as I can really get to know my classmates of 09S24 well.
Last Thursday, after school, Andrea and I went to Jeremy’s house and chilled out there. Boy, were the JC students (Andrea, Hadi, Zaf and I) tired. We took pillows and slept on the floor, energy drained out of our bodies, while the other poly students (Duane, Jem, and YX) were playing so happily, contented in their soccer game. Then they played cards and I fell asleep on the sofa. Then I almost had a pillow fight with Hadi and hitting zaf. Haha, my memory is a bit hazy on why I did that but anyways. It was great to meet up, the four of us I mean, together again.
On Saturday, I had a meeting with 08’ Excos. It was really fun catching up with everybody. Nadrah, Albin, Razzan and I, spent the whole time laughing and having fun. Amazingly we did what was on the agenda and completed a draft of the 09’ Councillor’s camp. Hopefully we can meet this Friday the 13th at PRCS once again.
After that, I went out with nadrah and then with Aaron for a movie treat because he lost a bet. Muahaha. But it was fun lah, except the seats in the cinema was quite low so I could see heads peeping out from the seats. The musty movie theatre at Bugis was alright in the end. Then in the middle of watching Benjamin Button, Aaron and I had an urge to go to the toilet. Hehe, so we sneaked out of the place, I think it was too much of drinking water and of the drinks that we had before the movie. Anyways we had fun so that’s the main thing. We then went our separate ways because he had to attend some family gathering.
On Sunday, we had church and my dad spoke most of the time, leaving very little time for Pastor Edwin to speak. Hehe, but the message was crystal clear and like always Pastor Edwin intertwines the bible and his childhood years. My mum was sitting next to me and she was like saying do shrimps make noise? And I was like, Huh? And then she found out that the pastor wasn’t saying the shrimps were making the noise in the baskets but the frogs (childhood stories). My mum realised it and started laughing and then I laughed to and hit her pretty loudly, oopps mummy. Hehe. But it was quite amusing. Then later I taught my guitar class finger styles and we played a couple of songs together.
This week I’ve meet some awesome people and have met my classmates. One is Cheryl Ann Lee!!! Haha, she was last time my primary school buddy with three other gals. So yay, we’re together again. One is Sharaniya, she’s an Indian from India, but is studying in Singapore. She is really an awesome friend. Yesterday we hung out together in-between classes. Then later Cheryl was nice to let me stay with her group of TKSS friends all whom were funny and we played UNO. Many laughs and friendships were forged, while waiting for my shooting trials. Hehe. I was so tired, my eyes were glazing.(because of yesterday...I thought I needed to pass up the Chem Tutorial by the next day so I was rushing like crazy until pass midnight) So yeah, I tried the air rifle, it was okay I suppose. My ave wasn’t good at all. After that I went for the choir sit-ins, just to see the choir atmosphere. When the door opened, I could see my former choir instructor there. It was quite shocking. Anyways, I went too practiced in the Alto sectionals. I didn’t think it was any different from secondary school or primary school for that matter, I really needed a break from Choir. Then I met up with my friend and we went to walk around tampines mall, exchanged gifts and he sent me home. ^^
Oh and Happy 17th birthday Aaron!
Anyways, on Saturday, I’m going out to buy my new laptop. Yay! And with the valentines money from my mum, I so want to get a nice VIAO NS series. Hehe. I will have to check that out. Well, that’s one thing that makes me love valentines. (I get money) Muhaha.
Hopefully, crossing fingers and praying will help me get into shooting... Wish me all the best...

love ya

Yay! I would like to thank Hadi for commenting on my blog. I honestly love comments like that, it brings me to have a self check on what I’m writing and the reality that web logging isn’t just about projecting my world into yours, but safeguarding my opinion about what I write.
Behind every stereotype, there is a kernel of truth
I for one do not stand for or believe in stereotypes, but it does hold some truth. Take for example: “Jewish mothers are very nagging and loud.” This generalised statement does have reality in it. I would infer it from the film Fiddler on the Roof and other books I have read, directing to the origins of where this comment has come about. We can’t just shun down these people as generalising, they do have some credible background.
Haha, but then again, it WAS from a British Newspaper, it obviously had some intentions there. And yes, I am pretty much a UK ass-kisser (oopps, I mean ‘arse-kisser). Like duh, I had background there.
Anyways, I’ll try to make my opinion less of generalised thoughts and more of facts. ;) My bad.
Let’s refresh...
Andrea had a lovely sleepover, with O’s cereal, hot drink, hammocks and newspapers. She slept on the lower deck and I slept on the upper deck of my younger sisters’ bunk beds (yes, I threw them out). XD Kidding. In the morning, we decided to meet Duane and co. at a less ungodly hour at macs. Then we went to the supermarket, all 9 of us, I think. There was Duane, yx, Hadi, Eng Liang, Jun Hong, Faris, Andrea and me. Ok fine, 8 of us. Then we proceeded to my house to prepare the food for the picnic that day. Hearing Duane talk about his political views so openly, I wonder how long it will take for him to get jailed. Hehe. Anyways, we met with the rest of the class and I decided it wouldn’t be any fun without my dear darling Sarah. So I called her and gave my ‘poor, pathetic, lonely’ talk (which she bought). Sabrina, Sarah and I jumped into the cab and went to East coast. I didn’t really enjoy myself there, except the part where I ate sandwiches and sushi. It turned out that so many people brought food, I had to bring home 70% of what we made.
On Friday, I got a call from Andrea in the morning and she shouted to me, ‘what did u get?’ I, blur as usual, gave her a ‘huh?’. Yup, it was TPJC. I didn’t have much of a ‘Yay’ or a ‘shit’ in my mind but I told Andrea anyway and she screamed.
I met up with Jeremy and Aaron and we went to see Mrs Low. We walked around the school to find her and when we did she asked us to go to the chem lab. Aaron just HAD to wave to Ms Lee and she walked straight out of the classroom and talked to us, even though we didn’t want to see her at all. Thanks Aaron, it made my day, REALLY. We gave Mrs Low oranges later and then we went to Andrea’s house. Sat around the dining table and had some small talk. I could see that Andrea was still sore about the whole ‘Duane didn’t invite me’ thing, and so she made a whole box of cookies for Duane. (guilt always works)
Duane’s condo was really nice, it had like huge columns, swimming pools etc. And his house looked really nice too. The only thing that irked me was the kitten outside his door. Heh. His mom was pretty pleasant too. Miley didn’t show up...which the guys said that she came earlier to meet him privately. Your guesses are as good as mine. ;D Then my dad wanted me to meet him at Whitesands. Ugh. He sent me out to the bus stop though. ^^
On Saturday, my mum woke me up and asked me to go to check out TPJC with her. Finally, my mum decided to give TPJC a chance. My dad drove us there and we walked around the school. My dad interviewed a student and prayed for him. Then we went off. It was a short trip, but it spoke for itself. They approved.
When I got home, my mum asked me to take care of my youngest sis. So I was stuck with her, until I had a brilliant idea. Bringing her to Jem’s house and enjoying my time there as well. Oh and I decided to try on my heels as well. Turned out to be painful, an instrument of torture. Then Aaron brought my sis and me to jem’s house where I learnt how to play cards...and gamble. Yikes. But I had a great time, even though my sister was kind of cranky and irritating. (As always) Pizzas+sushi+friends= fun time. Hehe.
On Sunday we had a guest speaker from Sri Lanka. Oh did I tell you, the worship was on fire! It was like I couldn’t stop playing the piano. It was like a workout with God. Awesome experience. Yupps. Then I had my guitar lessons with my students and then attended the Chinese service for a brief moment.
Yay! New School! New environment! New teachers! New subjects! New CCA! New friends! (of course we can’t forget the existing ones)Boy, am I in a JC... I don’t know about you but I wasn’t all that enthusiastic about going to this JC, but He (looks up at the corner of my eyes) probably did. So here I am. I was assigned to OG35 and sat next to Xuan Jie the whole time. I didn’t make any friends as quick as a blink, due to my anti-social skills (that seemed to be manifesting), but I did have quite a few acquaintances after the end of a day.
Today, we had to learn the school song and school cheer and then we had intro lectures on econs and chem. It was alright I suppose. Then we had choir auditions, no way am I going down that path again. Come to think of it today we didn’t do much. Met Andrea’s friend, she was quite a nice girl and friendly too. And I bought my school clothes!
Oopps gtg, my sister is calling me..

hahaaha

(Continuation from last post)
One was about injecting Melanotan to get an instant Barbie effect on the skin. Tsk. Apparently it is illegal to sell it but not exactly illegal to buy it. And A LOT of people in the UK are injecting themselves with this thing into their stomachs so they can have immediate tanning effect. “The drug, which tricks the skin into producing the dark pigment melanin” causes the skin to become darker after 10 days later. Wow, talk about people doing things in the name of beauty. Well that vanity can cause them their health. It isn’t actually medically cleared as ‘safe to use’, but people still use it. I’m sure this teaches us, Singaporeans to shut our mouths and think about our sunny weather before cussing at the heat. (Which foreigners would gladly pay money to have a tan in Singapore)

And another article was about the mannerism of the Britons. This article made me grin a lot. It was a study about the Titanic survivors. They calculated that the percentage of Britons that survived were actually very much lower than the Americans. Do you know why? Well they suggested that it was probably their manners of “after you” that made it the death of them. Lol. But it is in fact true. That’s why I want to get a British boyfriend. Muhaha. I could picture an American saying “get outta my way” racing to get into the lifeboats, while the British would do the opposite. Told you the Britons (of old) are more cultured...although they cuss a lot now.

(side tracking)...did I tell you that the SAT english is really challenging...I might consider taking the exam at the end of the year rather than the middle...oh well.

Today I’m meeting up with Andrea and she is going to sleepover at my house! Yays. And then the next day we are going to meet up with Alicia before we go to the picnic. Okay, I gtg now. Love you all.

Haha

Oh my...I didn’t know I haven’t written since a week. Busy as always.
Going back last Wednesday, I went to Andrea’s house and made the jellies and we went to GBG and had dinner, after walking through rows of restaurants selling the exact same thing: Steamboat. Wow. We bought prata at the end of the row of restaurants and went back to eat it. It was darn filling. One of those pratas was equivalent to 4 of the prata’s from west plaza...talk about ripping off. Anyways we had worship session and then when it was time to go out, Andrea got all dressed up for the walk, but my dad said she needed a consent letter. So we desperately made a call to her dad to give the green signal to my dad. But nooo, my dad insisted she needed a letter of consent. So we both stayed back at the church with one of the new comers...Ria was here name, I think. Then my dad gave an orientation of the ministry in the Philippines. Then after that, we went to some place...shoot, I forgot the name, and had a midnight snack, tohsay(I don’t know how it’s spelt), for the first time in my life. Hehe, okay I’m rather ignorant of such things, I’m glad Andrea is always around. And then I stayed up the whole day without going to sleep, watching movies.

On Thursday I met up with a friend and we went to changi beach. There weren’t a lot of people there though. We walked around the beach, just catching up on things and basically having fun. Then we took a bus down to IKEA, but we didn’t alight at the last stop before the highway so we ended up travelling to punggol and back again. Haha. I think that was the longest ride I had taken to IKEA. We had lunch there and looked around for things for my house. (My mum told me that she gives me more pocket money than our maid and yet our maid does more work than me) So I had to help out in the house, one way or the other. Then I went back home and slept through the night, forgetting about my meeting with my guitar students...ahhhh.

On last Friday, I had breakfast with my auntie Joyce. Had lunch with my mum and dad. And dinner with my auntie and cousin. Hehe. Yup that was basically me travelling to and fro to meet up with people and talk and just spending time with them. Indeed, I had a wonderful time catching up with my auntie and my cousin. (I used to go to their house very often) and I’m glad I made a trip across the road to her house. I think the closest ones in distance may be the farthest ones you know. But at least now the repair work of the bridge is there, between our relationship that is.
On Saturday, I went out with my sister to buy some clothes for myself. I ended up buying a dress that I didn’t want and a shirt. It was nice, as in the cutting but the colour was a bit dull...anyways, the main thing was that I had fun with my sister and I bought red high heels. Muhaha, I can be taller than u guys out there, just for sniggers. Hehe.

On Sunday after Church service, I had to impart some of my piano skills to several students. It was fun actually, I never did it before. And plus the class dynamics was great. The age group was very diverse...which made it challenging yet enjoyable. I will definitely look forward to the next session. After that, I went for a reunion dinner at my grandparent’s house. Collected my ang paos and prayed for the family.
This Monday, for the first time in a long time, my whole family went out on visitation. Dressed in our nice and new clothes, we drove to both our grandparents places, visited them and ate lovely Chinese new year snacks. We then headed down to the marina barrage and took a look at the facilities there. It seemed like everyone was wearing their New Year clothes and for the first time, almost every person they wore a shirt and nice pants (for the males) and a nice dress or a blouse (for the females), not in sloppy slippers and shorts. Thank goodness. Did I mention that some foreigners thought asked why there were so many prostitutes in Singapore? Yeah, you got the picture didn’t you?

Yesterday I took a break and sat down on my hammock and read Tricia’s book, Atlantis and The Times, which my dad bought for S$10(which was only 90p in UK). I didn’t do much, just basically relaxing. Then there was this smoke outside my house in the ‘forest’, near the beach. It was pretty bad and I could smell the smoke from the 14th floor. My helper wiped the tables and it was filled with black soot. Ugh. And Aaron said it was probably some bbq gone wrong and yx assumed it was incense burning, well I thought otherwise. Oh and there were two interesting articles in the Daily Mail (which was only 50p in UK but S$5.85 in Singapore) (continue in next post)

De facto

Procrastination, procrastination
This off course diversion
Formidable delusions
Of confident conclusions
Tempt me astray
From my work for today
Luring me to the pillow that I now lay
Which dreams of perfect will fly away
________________________________________________________
No wonder I was nicknamed wild boar...I am such a slob. I barely started studying for my SATs. Gosh Aana, wake up! I wrote this little poem, well not really a poem, a reminder for me to start studying. I tried to start yesterday with my thick volume of SATs, but to no avail. Okay, okay, recap.

The OGL thing on Friday was okay. They told us what group I was in and started singing the campfire songs for us to familiarize with. I was actually quite excited about it, until I realised that the dates for the camp was really soon and it clashed with so many of my dates with friends, family and relatives. So Alyah the brilliant and I decided to quit this orientation camp. I felt kind of bad at first, but I realised it wasn’t my fault at all. Nobody cared to inform me earlier of the dates, neither did any of my friends know when I asked them. Plus there was an abundance of OLGs this year so I didn’t think, one or two individuals that pulled out, might matter. So ta-da, I resigned.

On Saturday I had this whole schedule planned out with my friends. Haha, I AM very obsessed with keeping to my schedule. So I was sort of upset when my family planned to go to Chinatown and buy stuff. But family comes first then friends, so I excused myself from the gathering and when to Chinatown. It has been a long time since I went back to Chinatown. It was rather crowded, with an extremely long line of people queuing up for some free floss. Singapore culture, tsk. Anyway my dad had to drive round and round just to find a parking space. We then went around and took photos of unusual sights, to show to my dad’s friends around the world, what’s Chinese New Year like in Singapore. Then we went to OG to buy my sisters clothes. Havoc rang in the air...It was like a battle field there. So many mothers held their children at their wrists asking them to strip in front of the crowds because they couldn’t wait for the changing rooms, which had a terribly long line. I never want to go there again during Chinese New Year. (Don’t worry, my sisters held their dignity and waited patiently) Then I went with my older sis to Central where we found dresses for her at Level One. She was really glad I brought her there. (Special thanks to Sarah for introducing me to that place)

On Sunday we had Rev. Dr Bingham preaching about the New Year. Many in the congregation were blessed by the message, including me. Then there was the auto call and people kept on asking for prayer and blessing, it was never ending. By the time we went to eat lunch, I was already late for my guitar lessons with my students. But many had some things on and couldn’t make it =(so I helped Shandy with her homework instead. Then I went to face my doom! Travelling to boon lay was the hardest part of all. I was so scared that my auntie might just fire at me questions that might blow me to pieces (about my results). Oh well, in the end the reunion dinner was okay, I stuck around with my cousins and listened to music behind the couch. Yes, I was in hiding. My naughty cousins also sneaked up behind me and took my friend’s number and terrorized him, such childish behaviour tsk. In the end, my sister betrayed me and told my aunt about my results. Well as Han Solo would say “better her than me”.

On Monday morning at 12 am, my mum got upset with me because I kept on talking to my friend late into the night. And with that I got suspended from my bank account(where my monthly pocket money is transferred to) and to give my hp up after I get back to school. I was devastated. But it turned out alright in the morning, when I had a long chat with my dad, cancelling my meeting with my friends. I’m glad I have understanding parents. Later at night, I went out with Andrea to IKEA and Giant. We walked around IKEA to find some mattress for myself, because my youngest sister pee-ed on the other half of the bed, where my younger sister sleeps. So like a nomad, Stephanie had to sleep on the sofa, my parent’s bed, my bed etc, wherever she liked. So mattresses were on my shopping list. Andrea bought a photo frame for her dad. Anyways, we decided to take a look at Giant and see what is there.(Haha, yeah I haven’t been to Courts or Giant for that matter even though it was a stone’s throw away from my house) We bought the jellies to make today for the street ministry and the cocktail. Yum. And I found out someone has a soft spot for jellies...

On Tuesday I went with my dad to IKEA again to buy the mattress itself today and for some harder bedding. Afterward I picked up my sister from school and we went straight to her piano teacher’s house. We took the wrong bus, so we had to walk in the scorching heat of the day to her house. Ugh. While waiting for my sister to finish her piano lesson, I found a nice shady and windy spot where I read the TIMES magazine, just to get myself in the mood of studying for the SATs, it clearly hasn’t work...yet. When back home and ate dinner and then off to church my dad and I went. To our surprise, my sister and my mum were there at the prayer meeting too. We had great fun worshiping God and reading the bible. Haha and I didn’t know the naked man mentioned in Mark was actually the writer himself. LOL. I don’t know about other people, but I think the bible is an awesome read, just to laugh and lift up your spirits. Anyways, we went back home to watch the inaugural of Barak Obama, however I fell asleep during the arrival of the VIPs etc. I think i was too tired to stay up until the sear in, after all, they were behind schedule. I forced myself to stay awake, but I think the munching of new year goodies did not help me at all, in fact it made it worse. So lala land i was in, while the rest of my family stayed up to watch. Too bad for me. I never was this excited about a swearing in though, well i only wanted to hear his speech, thats all. Oh nevermind.

Today I’m going to start studying!!! Yeah right. Well I’ll see first if I have time after jogging and buying the containers for today’s jelly-making with Andrea and Jeremy. Oh and I still need to prepare my guitar lesson for tomorrow and update my iPod with new songs, yay. Oh and if you were wondering why I changed my blog skin, I wanted to stop my hair standing on its ends whenever I view my blog. It didn’t match with my personality, neither does this skin, but at least it’s better than the previous one, I’ll change my skin once I find a nice navigational skin that I like. Ttfn.

Busy Busy Busy

Phew, talk about being busy...This past week has been full of laughter, crying and pissing. Heheh. I’ll start on Monday.
Monday was like a cesspool of emotions that ran wild. It was the day of the release of the GCE O level results. I got an L1R5 of 14 and a L1R4 of 11. Its really bad huh...Even though I obtained 4 distinctions, it aint any achievement at all. And when i recieved my results, i broke down crying...too bad i didnt bring tissue, but my best buddies were all there to comfort me. I love you people! Honestly speaking, i couldnt accept my horrible results at first, but then after the next day i was able to look at my results without puffy eyes and a red nose. Aaron was nice enough to ride with me on the bus home even though I think i looked like the most wasted person that ever walked the earth. When i got home, I told my dad about my results and i was really upset because this was the first time my dad didnt say any jokes or said his usual line “That’s great! “(even though i failed my tests etc). My mum was her usual self, advising me and poking at me for using the mobile phone too much etc. I know i have let a lot of people down, and i regretted not being 100% focused, but at least i conquered all my nine subjects, which i think was a hefty task. (Stop consoling yourself aana!) heh.
Tuesday was a sort of a relaxing day where i chilled out at Tricia’s house after being so bored being stuck at my folk’s place. Sarah and Faqiha were invited and we chatted about our choices of schools and stuff. Girl talk basically. Oh and my younger sister and i got caught in the rain when i brought her to her piano class, yikes. Stephanie, remember to bring an umbrella ya? Then i went to GBG and had the usual prayer meeting, or so i thought. The prayer captain, Sis Carita shared with us about reading the bible and stuff, and my dad said okay, lets read the whole gospel of Matthew. I nearly died there and then. Trust me, i was exhausted after running in the rain and coming back late, it was definitely a struggle. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. So we all took a bible and started reading it out loud together. Mind you the book of Matthew is pretty long, 28 chapters to be exact. But i soon found out it was pretty fun, we kept on reading it non stop, taking no breaks at all, but just immerse ourselves in the word. It was more than fun, it was extremely entertaining and interesting. In between the parables, my dad would make funny voices for the dialogue, bringing the past to life. But this Thankful Tuesday night, i was reminded that the bible is very fun to read and truely, without the knowledge of the Word, the people will perish.
Wenesday i went with sarah and tricia to shop for clothes. I think we passed wisma atria like a couple of dozen times, but in the end we got the clothes that we wanted but didnt get to get a pair of converse shoes that i wanted. But we had a great time together and we saw this horrendously priced scarf that was $50 and it was cute because it was in a shape of a tee shirt. I think it is selling at Giodano, but let me tell u, it is not worth buying that thin scarf.
Yesterday, was the busiest day ever. I dropped by the school and collected my 150 bucks in cheque for the Eagles award. Yay. Then I went out with Andrea to eat lunch at Pasta Mania in tampines mall and then i met up with faqiha to watch ‘The Women’. And boy, i strongly advise you not to watch that movie. This friend of mine(tsk XP), wanted to watch the show and you know me, chick flicks and i dont mix at all, was horrified by how the show went. Forget about me explaining what happened to the characters, it was boring, i even started smsing people in the theathre room. Haha, but i will always enjoy Andrea’s and Faqiha’s company any day. Then i had to rush to sentosa to meet up with Nadzirah, Sarah, Sabrina and Tricia, which they kindly invited me to. We had fun splashing in the water and building sandcastles and watching the evening view and taking photos and eating.( and spying on ang mohs?) heh. Then we headed to vivo city and walked around. And i finally found the perfect converse shoe for myself, BUT it didnt have my size. It was this nice union jack sewn on the shoe...*dreamy eyes*. But i settled for somthing less prominent, some velvety type of sneakers. I love my sneakers and would probably keep it in the house before anyone tries to steal my trainers away AGAIN. After everyone left, i still needed to kill some time before meeting up with my sister(who is working near vivo), so i walked around and got lost. I’m not too good with directions. Then my sister called me and said that she had to wait for my mum because she needed to do other stuff, so i went home alone after waiting for two whole hours...grr. Anyways, i chatted with jason and zafran before going to bed. I was so glad i got a chance to talk(as in really personal talk) to zaf after a long time of not really communicating as we used to. Tears actally flowed unconciously because i didnt realise how much i missed having long, late night talks talking about nothing and everything with zaf. Oh well, at least everything is back to normal again, and yes andrea, i think the ‘old’ zafran is still in him. And sorry zaf for not really listening to you during the last few minutes, i kept on nodding off because of fatigue(and not because you were boring), but i think i did a good job pretending that i was listening. Hehe. Joking!
Today, my mad sisters grabbed me out of bed, shattering my dreams, forcing me to send them to school, again. Oh and i have this OGL thingy in PRCS later today, hope the orientation camp will turn out alright. God Bless.

The story u should read b4 u get ur O level results

My friend and I decided to make this little spin off of a StarWars-Earth Crossover. We both did it by smsing each other alternately so some of the parts are a bit disconnected. We added in OCs to this stories based on the people we've met etc. We changed the names of most of the characters so as to not hurt anyone's ego/feelings and by compromising that, the effect wasnt that great anymore, but anyways, dont take it to heart. It's just a story. heh. You could probably guess we were extremely bored, so yeah, read it and review.
____________________________________________________
There once was a crazy Jedi named Alexis. She was known for being crazy because she was klutz and often did weird and eccentric things. She couldn’t fit in with the other Jedi in the academy and many thought of her as a being from another planet.
One day she made a curious contraption that could merge radio waves and gamma rays into a synchronised pattern that allowed anybody to be heard by her. An ultra sensitive microphone one might say. While walking with the bit sized invention, she unintentionally heard her master speaking to someone with his comlink, a few thousand rooms beyond where she stood in the hallway.
“Yes, the Main Reactor will shut down the whole planet and while that is happening, you go and reconfigure the whole system and lock in the security codes...”Her master’s voice was crisp at the end of the line. Alexis switched off the gadget for she did not want to hear anymore of such ridiculous speech.
“It probably was a coded message...” Alexis reassured herself, shrugging it off.
~
“Alexis, control tower told me that you have a mission.” Alexis’s master noted her.
“I wasn’t informed on my comlink” Alexis said insolently, staring straight into his eyes. He shifted his eyes before lowering his voice and saying,
“It’s a secret mission, code 110292, straight from the Control Tower.”
~
Alexis looked out into the vast space as she prepared her ship for hyperspace. Butterflies flitted in her stomach as she mouthed the words ‘Control Tower deployed me’ over and over again. She couldn’t believe the trust they had for her. It was every Jedi’s dream to be chosen, by the Control Tower, to go on a mission. But she had to travel far beyond her galaxy to planet earth, to destroy earth for her deranged master and Control Tower.
Once her ship had a touchdown on a small island of Concrete jungles, she formed scheming plans and made her way to a school that had hideous colours of orange, green and white, her first target. To not look strange to them, she disguised herself as a student who likes Chinese very much.
~
Rinnnngggggg!!! The school bell sounded for the next class. Mother Tongue, her favourite. An old wrinkled short woman walked in, and at once Alexis knew the crumply woman was perfect as her accomplice, for she was stupid and had stunted growth in her brain, plus she spoke funny.
Fortunately, her accomplice has a problem with all the boys in her class. She always punished them and took away their candy and kept it for herself. But one day the students poisoned the candy and purposely let her take it away. When she went home, she ripped open the packaging and ate everything wholesale down her gullet. The next day she had a bad tummy ache and couldn’t go to school, the first day ever that she skipped her class.
Seeing her accomplice MIA, the Jedi decided to search another naive soul. She walked through the school and found the perfect replacement a Social Studies teacher called Suhaimi. She knew he had a car and practiced witchcraft, as he always casted a sleeping spell in his class. After his class ended Alexis seized the opportunity and met up with him, posing as a student that had problems with Stalin’s moustache being a tad bit short. She then brainwashed him to become her servant. She then dragged him into the principal’s office and told him,
“You are the new principal; make sure all the students fail their exams, while I will take care of the old principal.”
With his dreamy eyes Suhaimi sat down on Ong’s chair and followed her orders. He was as good as dead because Alexis sucked out his brains with a vacuum cleaner. Alexis then walked by the hallway and saw Ong scolding a kid named Arden. Arden was being punished because he kept boasting about how good he was and Ong got fed up and scolded him. With all the shouts and crying, it was easy for Alexis to walk towards the pair, unnoticed.
With a swift action, Alexis hammered them both on the head as the speakers cracked out loud, with Suhaimi speaking,
“All you students may go home whenever you like!”
There was a piercing silence in the air, before everyone cheered and yelled at the top of their lungs,
“Hail Hitler!”
Then there were joyful shouts and screams as the legs of the chairs scratched the concrete floors. Soon enough, a stampede began. Everyone rushed out of the classrooms and rushed down the staircases, pushing and pressing against each other for the exits.
Alexis smiled to herself when she saw the chaos. Many parents immediately came to the school to complain were asking her what happened as she was next two the limp bodies in the hallways, but she acted innocent, giving the adults a blur look. After all, she was merely just a student. The parents alerted MOE and forced them to compensate for such bad leadership by giving the school the O level results first, before any other school.
Since Alexis was the only one that was at the scene of the ‘crime’, the teachers brought her into the meeting room for a serious talk. When the conversation was getting heated and the finger kept on pointing to her, Alexis escaped by blamed everything on Suhaimi and his incompetency. Suhaimi brain was still in the vacuum cleaner so Alexis used her Jedi mind tricks and forced him to defend her and apologised to the whole school for such causing such a pandemonium.
When she surveyed her handiwork with a mischievous grin, she received a coded message from her master which had an order to destroy all the students in the school. She was saddened by such a request from her master for she realised she made a lot of friends that didn’t call her odd or klutz and she fitted into the school like a hand in a glove. This attachment, to some of the students whom she befriended, made her decide to spare them and ask for their help to destroy her master. For she received news from her classmates back home that her master was banished from the Academy for hacking into the planet’s database, and the puzzle was fixed into a bigger picture of doom, for both her home and planet earth.
Throwing away her comlink to prevent further communication between her and her (former) master, she devised her own plan. But first her friends must be knowledgeable about her galaxy before they can help her. So she invited them to her house to watch the star wars marathon. Her friends nearly died of boredom so instead; she brought them for an intergalactic space tour. They took a jump to hyperspace, finally travelling miles of light-years, to her planet where everything was high tech which was actually the Transformers planet. Seeing the coolest stuff ever seen by the naked eye, all her friends went frenzy and left her, all but one decided to stay and help. So she rewarded him with a lightsaber and they went to complete her plan.
They travelled back to earth to avoid any entanglements with her master. She gave him a crash course on defence and attack using the lightsaber and he picked it up fast. However during one of the training sessions, while Alexis’ friend was practicing with the lightsaber, the short teacher said in her shrieking voice,
“I want to kill you” (in Chinese of course) [after she found out about the poison in the sweets.]But Alexis’ friend had a fencing headgear the wrong way round (although in real life it can never happen) and accidentally sliced her into two while he turned around to face her. He didn’t care, nor felt sorry because he hated her but acted sad to show the teachers that gathered round her bleeding body.
So the teachers had a funeral, to commemorate her and her service. But the cheeky friend of Alexis’ arranged a party, right next to the funeral, which he invited everyone in the school. It was a big event with groovy music and scrumptious food. Some of the teachers left the funeral and attended the big party. As a result the sad dead Chinese teacher’s funeral had nobody, while the next door party and everybody, and like always, Arden was not invited.
But he was invited to the funeral. Poor Arden was locked out of the party with no friends, wait, he didn’t have any in the first place. Oh well.
~
It was revealed to her by her friend’s keen profiling eye that Alexis’ master was actually Mr Singh (in disguise), when she was on earth, spying on her and to see if she betrayed him. Both of them went back to the planet earth, darted to the Academy Block and saw Singh standing there, lightsaber aglow in his killing stance. Alexis and her friend whipped out their lightsabers and ignited it.
Singh moved, circling the two of them, like a predator stalking his prey. He gave an impious smile at both of them, taunting them further. Then he attacked.

Alexis blocked the man's powerful blows with her own, watching out for her friend. Her friend did the same as he slashed again and again. But their enemy was ready. He fought with so much ferocity that Alexis was surprised. She had never seen anything like it.
Fear hung in the air as the duo fought with all their might. Alexis’ Master force-pushed Alexis to the wall as he advanced upon Alexis’ friend. He kicked his side and his lightsaber fell. Alexis used the force to throw the lightsaber back into his hand just in time for him to block his body from Singh’s death blow. Alexis ran to join him as lightsabers clashed in the air. Singh knew all her weaknesses and hit hard, putting Alexis in an awkward position, vulnerable to her Master. Her friend ducked away from his swings, swiftly rolled on the floor, just in time to block Singh’s attack on her.

With their last ounce of combined strength, the two tried to wear the man down. The sabres clashed every few seconds as they battled long and hard and finally Mr Singh collapsed in agony as Alexis’ friend hit him in a blind spot and Alexis skilfully finished him off with a fizzle of her lightsaber.
They both were drenched in blood and sweat as they deactivated their lightsabers with trembling hands and weary yet relieved looks.
“Thanks for saving my skin back there.”Alexis said to her friend. He smiled and then added,
“Thanks for saving my life.”
~
They informed the Control Tower about Alexis’ master’s devilish plot to overtake the planet, as sole dictator. The Control Tower Members were so thrilled about everything that they gave Alexis the option to take over the position as representative of her planet in the Galactic Republic Senate. Alexis thought about the high positions and honours, but her heart wasn’t on her home planet, it was somewhere else.
In the end, the friends she befriended decided to stay there in her planet, which she in turn, stayed in planet earth, with the person who faithfully stood alongside her to help her slay the baddie, who was in fact, none other than, Alan.
The End.

This week so far...

Dear JC,

I've decided to write on this blog instead of my notebook because my handwriting isn't that nice, well, it’s horrible. I’m glad this year is another year of new beginnings and a new chapter with you. I can hardly wait for my GCE O level results. I do get the jitters and the butterflies, but it’s your will and it’s your purpose whatever results I get. =)

I am quite happy about how I’ve spent my holidays and not wasting my hours like nobody’s business. I help build your kingdom and bring encouragement to the people in the Philippines and love the village children with your agape love, for three weeks. Following that, we had Christmas and all the children’s sleepover and the visits at both grandparents. Then had guitar lessons with four eager learners as they make music to glorify your name, for two weeks. I think it was an awesome experience and time.

Well, cheers to the New Year and I hope I can be more disciplined in reading your word and praying. And I want to lift up the whole website project to you, make it the best mission website ever.

Oh and sorry about the tithing thing, I will try to give you over and above my pocket money. Here. And do everything on your bucket list for me.
I still have mixed feelings for my very close friend and growing feelings for my other close friend. I guess the naive period in my life, that is, is still in transition. But it’s not time to worry yet as Atticus would say. =) Although my friend and I did a pretty cool yet lame story together by smsing each other. I’ll try to post the story up. See if you like it.

Yesterday I went out with Faqiha and Tricia and we had loads of fun and I didn’t spend a single cent. Haha, except for my Iced Tea. We tried on clothes and Faqiha was in her pants buying mood and Tricia got her stuff and basically just catch up on things and look at ang moh guys, it wasn’t my idea! And I tried on these high heels in ZARA that were really high and they took a picture of it. I think that pair alone cost a bomb.

And on Wednesday night, I went street walking with Andrea for the first time. I am really glad she came with me. Apparently she and Sis Jennifer Bong knew each other. She said to me that her heart went to these people and being there opened her eyes to what is happening right to this present day. I am so blessed to have her as my friend and giving her heart out for these people.

On Tuesday, I met up with Andrea, Hadi and Zafran and we went to Figs and Olives in Ehub and had a time chatting and catching up on things. I had to bring my sister along because she had her piano classes in between the time I was with them so it was to and fro her piano teacher’s house and Ehub. And then we decided to go to PRCS and drop by because Zafran had to pass something to Virgil and then we met Mr Shafie, Mr Ng, Mr Collin, Mr Singh and Mrs Low! Hehe, we had a great time talking to them and out anxiety about the results, they seemed pretty fine and doing well. I’m glad we went back, even though we were so reluctant at first.

Well, that’s about the main highlights of this week and I hope to update this blog every day. Today my two younger sisters dragged me out of bed, as usual, to send them to school. So I’ll probably be going out with Tricia and Sarah later today and try to buy the software for making websites. Oh, and today, I looked out of the window and saw the eagle flying to it's nest high on top of a tree. It is so amazing, how much wildlife is around us, yet we ignore of simply dont give time for. Well, it remind me of your greatness and love for the world and its inhabitants. Love you lots.
